Played over the weekend. The course is in phenomenal condition- plush fairways, spotless greens that roll true, perfect sand traps. This place is my favorite around the BR area because it has challenging holes but also forgiving enough for the casual player. If only all of the BREC courses were that nice. Very enjoyable round even on a busy day.

Doesn’t la tour have a single-wide as it’s clubhouse?

I'll be going to false river for random trips over the summer. Is Beaver Creek my best option? It looks like The bluffs, beaver, copper mill, False River CC, and Fennwood Hills are options.

Beaver will probably be in the best condition.
Bluffs probably has the best layout.

I'd take Copper's layout over the Bluffs. The elevation changes are nice but a few holes feel like complete gimmicks. 17 and that first par 3 on the front come to mind; can't remember the number for that one.

#4. Uphill par 3 that plays around 180 to center.

I love the Copper Mill layout, but only because it's 6/6/6. Not a lot of imagination at Copper.

I realize is pretty subjective. Might also be bc I've played Copper a whole lot and only played the Bluffs a handful of times.

That's fair I suppose. I like a bunch of holes a copper though. 2, 3, 7, 16 come to mind.

Honestly, I like percy quinn over bluffs especially with 2 bluff holes still not in their "normal" condition.

Played Bluffs two weeks ago and it’s in rough shape. Greens are splotchy with dead spots and fairways are hardpan. Not to mention a few holes under construction. I like copper’s layout as well but maintaining that course has been difficult. Beaver is best for your money in that area.

Bluffs were in awful condition a few weeks back according to a coworker of mine. Not sure how it looks now. It was really nice at one point though.

Played today and had to play the one ups because of a short knocker friend, they should go private it’s so primo. I rank it well above Baton Rouge CC condition wise and slightly below CCL, LaTour and Money Hill.

i Think CCL is the best course in the BR area but love Beaver. Never played LaTour because it’s not convenient...maybe one day.
