This perfectly incapsulates Trump and his supporters. Trump attacks the media with lies, supporters think it’s hilarious and/or true. It’s confirmed that he lied (or extremely ignorant) supporters don’t care.

I don't understand how a seemingly otherwise educated person could listen to that audio and decide the NYT story was an accurate representation.

That audio doesn't cover what you claim it covers.

All you did was prove Trump and the OP correct.

I get it though. All you have left is lies.

I love my President. I can go to bed at night knowing that he is busting his arse behind the scenes working for ME.

I just don’t understand how people could hate this man like some do

My aunt and uncle are the most r ligious people I know and they absolutely love this man about as much as they love Jesus

a now antiquated method of "news" delivery, there was a time when journalists had standards and newspapers at least tried to print facts, I know it seems crazy to suggest that they ever existed but oddly, it wasn't that long ago

Repeat ad infinitum
Exactly.

Since January 20, 2017, Trump's falsehood count is over 3,000. And that makes not one iota of difference to his adherents.

Trump's definition of fake news is anything that doesn't flatter him.

“My people are so smart,” Trump told the crowd in Sioux Center, Iowa on Saturday. “And you know what else they say about my people? … They say I have the most loyal people.” He continued: “I could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody, and I wouldn’t lose any voters, okay? It’s like, incredible.”

I can't say with 100 percent certainty and I don't have time to dig it up, but I'm fairly certain he was using a derogatory statement made by some pundit right before that rally. It wasn't his original statement.

Given Trump's history with trolling people (calling radio stations and reporters back in the 80's pretending to be someone else and hyping up himself

This is the first time I have ever heard that assertion. If you think of the source, please share it.
