First post in months and this reminds me why I stopped posting, y’all are so far trumps arse you live in an alternate universe.
Trump has repeatedly said that negative news is fake news; he consistently criticizes true journalism as fake news so when critical reports come out his base doesn’t believe them.
Truest thing trump ever said was that he could shoot a guy on fifth avenue and not lose a vote. This country is doomed. People like you are hastening it’s demise.

Since when did the left become concerned about truthfulness? I think it's hilarious that the left is now not enjoying their own medicine.

So is your opinion the nyt spread a lie attributed to a fake source, Or the nyt spread a lie by misattributing a real source?

Also, they are fake, so they don't have the credibility to be critical of anyone. They have destroyed themselves and I don't feel the least bit sorry for them.

The audio is of the guy literally saying what The NYT reported and what trump denied.
The NYT, WaPo etc has a liberal bias and they make mistakes. When things are misreported they are corrected. Trump purposefully lies non-stop, nearly every single tweet is false. When it’s proven to be false, they never admit it or correct it.
I’m done, wallow in your cesspool.

quote:Because the NYT has a recording of the source who it claims made the "impossible" statement. He didn't. If the NYT heard it somewhere else then they are lying about their source. Either way, they are lying.
How does he know an anonymous source doesn't exist?

That article was total bullshite. In fact it was almost comical. There was nothing in the article to refute what President Trump said. Foul stench is pathetic.

the nyt is fake news. And given there is no source saying what the nyt claims was said, the attributed source actually does not exist.
Paraphrasing a source is not “fake news.”

The guy doesn't literally, figuratively, or kinda say what the nyt claimed. Sorry, fake source or fake news, your choice. I personally lean toward both, but with accept either.

Drawing ridiculous unsupported conclusions from a statement is definitely fake news.
And remember, when they all lied about the "animals" comment, Maggie Haberman of this very same gossip rag made it very clear it's not their job to provide context.

You are correct that the MS-13/animals “controversy” was ridiculous.
Posted on 5/27/18 at 6:34 am to AggieHank86
So it's your position that the NYT doesn't lie and spread divisive bullshite about the President. They've been lying to the American people all along. So it doesn't matter if the story is true or not their credibility is less than zero. The NYT and other news outlets have nobody to blame but themselves. My question to the leftists here is how can you get so bent out of shape over this when you've done nothing but stand and clap every other time the MSM has posted straight lies attacking the man and his family. The truth is I simply don't care what the times reports because they've lost the trust of the people.

Of course it matters because the story is a lie.

I will give you credit, the last liberal who posted this ran for the hills. You got some gumption.

quote:No it wasn't.
The substance was essentially the same
It wasn't close.
Paraphrasing implies some accuracy.
To believe the fake report was remotely accurate, one would have to believe that planning which had been ongoing for weeks for a meeting scheduled weeks away would be rendered "impossible" by a few days hiatus. In other words, one would need be an imbecile or a liar or both.

It is my position that THIS story in the NYT was essentially accurate and that Trump hurts his own credibility (among sane people) when he attacks accurate reporting as “fake news.” It lessens the impact when he criticizes ACTUAL bad reporting.

No sane person thinks this reporting was accurate.

When things are misreported they are corrected
Do you not get the irony your post in this instance of the lying press doubling down on it's lie, even though there is a taped conversation for it to fall back on?
