It was definitely the Rally Peterson who after being told by Pulmonary not to swing said to himself that is stupid and decided to hit away.....

Players need to think independently some times when the order of the commander appears insane....

Vet: Hate to step on your story bro, but that's not close to being true. Todd did not defy the coach's "orders" as you say. According to statements from TP & PM, Initially, Paul told him to just stand there, don't swing & don't get hurt. Then USC called for a new pitcher, and during that timeout, Todd mentioned to Paul that he hit bombs in High School and PM allowed him to swing away, with nothing really to lose. (The "bombs in HS" story turned out to be BS). LOL
But, if you disobey the coaches orders, because you think they are insane or stupid, you will be on the bench, or kicked off the team. Just Sayin!
