Not a O apologist but to say his first class was one LSU’s worst is laughable. Go back and check rankings for the last 30 Year’s.

Objective my arse. He said talent level not production. Replacing production with talent is what big programs do. The statement that LSU is the least talented they have been since Saban arrived is absolutely ridiculous and not true by any metric

that is word for word what he said - least talent since Nicks first year

If we had gone out and gotten a legit and proven OC, I would be all in. That didn’t happen, so forgive my pessimism.

Sorry, you’re right.
Let me correct myself, one of the worst since Saban took over. I was kinda stuck in that time frame in this thread.

I would also argue with Guilblow that Saban’s first squad had more talent than this one. On another note is there a more punchable face than GG?

I showed his rosters earlier in this thread. If we’re talking about Saban’s first true team after his first true recruiting class, it was pretty nasty.
We can have that debate after this season, because I’d like to see how this team comes together. On paper they look promising, no doubt.
And no you’re 100% accurate, not a more punchable face on the planet.

He is right about the lack of QB development, that’s it. He is full of shite and just beating down LSU.

Glenn Guilbeau is Louisiana's version of Paul Finebaum. Just saying! :dud

It’s tough to argue that this squad has less talent on paper than we did in May of 2010. A tougher schedule — substituting Miami for UNC, UGA for UT, and a Jimbo coached ATM for Vandy. If this season ends up like that one it will be a success.

Guilbeau is a fuk-ing hack whom makes his bones by ruffling the feathers of the LSU fan base. Never had an opinion that made any sense or connected any dots at the end of the day. Just ignore the that nut sack hack

No CBs? Seriously we’ve got the best in the country in Greedy? Just another hater with no brain

Hey Glenn, when you have a good pass rush, and front 7, that can cover up issues at CB.

I fricking hate Glenn.

It's pretty much how Bama got by every year for the last 4 years. They looked better in 2017 because the passing in the SEC West, plus most the teams they had on their schedule, was just awful.

You need more than one CB to succeed

I actually think our defense will be as good as its been in several years. There are NFL players at several positions. Now offense is a different story. I still have zero confidence in our offense to score points.

You’re being emotional, he’s being objective. My link below is a thread showing returning production. LSU ranks 122 in the country. If you’re being objective and ineltellectually honest, you would see that he’s probably right and that this could set up as a rough season due to inexperience. 2019 should be much different.

I was kinda with him on the win/loss record until we got Burrow a few days ago. A good QB can mask a lot of problems. If the OL does need a little time to fully get set, he's very mobile and able to work around that. We don't have a Fournette or Guice, but CEH will be good and once we get Curry, we'll have a decent run game. WR and TE is loaded. Moreau is experienced, Giles is experienced, and we have guys who have at least played on the field the past two years. Jefferson looks like he could be a breakout freshman, and that's not even including the 5 star freshman in Marshall.

Front 7 will be loaded with future All American White destroying and directing, I don't have to say too much more about that. Safety position is the best in the country by far. Nobody boasts the depth and talent that we do there. I have a feeling that Vincent will be a solid CB opposite future All American Greedy, so the CB depth will be masked a bit (but still prepare to give up some big TDs with the backups).

All in all Burrow turns this team from 6-6/7-5 to 9-3/10-2. His presence will give us a big push in swing games vs UF, Miami, Auburn, and Miss St. Now we still might lose to Auburn being that the game is so early in the season, and on the road, but I think we can finish out strong and have a good look towards the 2019 season. Hell, maybe we upset one of UGA/Bama.
