Just wondering if this would ever happen or should it?

Never been a fan of naming a field when the stadium already has a name. Just seems confusingly redundant

Add the number to the helmets or a patch to the jerseys , give him his own street , have a team award in his name.

Nah, naming the playing surface is cheesey.
His name and number in the stadium is enough but I wouldn't hate the idea of a statue outside the stadium like Florida did.

Knowing Joe Alleva, he would rather have it named Coca Cola Field at Tiger Stadium. All about that money

We won't have to concern ourselves with him much longer.

Between Joe Burrow possibly being the best QB we’ve had since Met

Joe Alleva possiby being removed

And Will Wade putting LSU basketball back on the map

Billy Cannon Field
Can you imagine the negative publicity LSU would get from the national media if it named the football field after a convicted felon?

Well, Billy Brewer played for Mississippi in 59 and couldn’t tackle Billy on his return...
