Frat stars didn’t like the Grateful Dead until 2015 when Fare Thee Well happened. Now every Sigma Chi from the age of 18-25’s favorite band is Dead and Co lol

Yeah, I'll grudgingly admit this is one area where the youngsters have it over the old guys. We always had our subculture of closet hippies bur they were a distinct minority.

I'm a tard for going to Dead shows in the 80s?

No, you’re a tard for thinking that the Grateful Dead and jam bands have always been a frat thing because you went to a few shows in the 80s.

I guess it depends on where you went to school. Who do you think makes up the WSP crowd?

I agree that WSP has been a frat thing since it’s inception, and that’s obviously because of where and how the band started. My point is that the current Millenial and post millenial craze with Grateful Dead and jam band culture is a relatively new fad.
I went to a smaller private school in the south between 2006-2010 and was active in a fraternity there. I had many friends who were actives at large SEC schools as well. In those years barely anyone I knew was listening to the Grateful Dead or other jam bands. Now it just seems more popular with that crowd than it was then.

Brother started at Bama in 2000. He and all his buddies were big dead heads. You weren’t some fricking pioneer of college kids liking jam bands
