Beagles are probably too high energy. I don’t think their House has much of a yard. It’s a floor of a brownstone
really depends on the beagle. ive had some that were pretty high energy but my current one is the biggest couch potato ive ever encountered. he is so much more excited getting home from the park/ walk than leaving

Corgis are awesome
Undoubtedly.
But the shedding is extreme and constant. may not fit here.

I'll add that consider getting two dogs. I found this pit mix in my neighborhood, and it was one of the best decisions to keep him.
Both dogs love each other and they tire each other out.
^^^ This! Dogs need a doggy companion. Makes a huge difference.

My daughter just got a French Bulldog. It's so dam Fugly it's like cool looking. Full grown, around 20 lbs.

I'll never get another dog that isn't a German Shepherd.
So my recommendation is in fact, a German Shepherd.
I have a 2-1/2 year old female, best dog ever. Already best friends with my 15 month old son.
Sheds like a mofo though, be warned.

Ive had a FBD for 11 years. Most loving, enjoyable dog I’ve ever owned. Grew up with, and still have, lots of large breed dogs so the Frenchie was quite a change. But She has been an absolute delight as a pet.

Doesn't matter if you train your dog right.

She had two Great Danes in the pass and has a full trained Black Lab. This pup is for their son.

Get a Yorkie from a good breeder
If you're a SJW, adopt

The best dog I've ever owned is my golden retriever. Surprisingly, he doesn't really shed. We keep him brushed, which he loves. He has the mildest temper and he goes everywhere my kids do. He doesn't drool and he doesn't stink. The only downside about a retriever, or a lab, is that they like to chew when they're puppies. Keep a bone or toy in front of them and they'll be fine.
