What Would a Grand Bargain Look Like?

Suppose you could moderate a "peace deal" between the left and the right in the US. What could you negotiate on?
For example, suppose a deal were offered where the Dems agree to a wall and restricted immigration if the Repubs agree to safe, legal, but more limited abortion rights?
Is there a deal that could be made?
Some of you are going to say that you'd be like Grant, wanting "Unconditional Surrender." But take it seriously. Is there middle ground?
(I know it ain't fricking happening. I'm just curious what it could look like.)

Bill Maher has now said Trump supporters are the same as the Sunnis that morphed into ISIS
Reconciliation at this point...is

Is that shot from a Bridge Too Far?
I hope Maher is wrong. Just speaking hypothetically, and putting aside nuts on both sides and constitutional issues, what deal would you cut?

You could already get that deal right now.
Assuming you really mean more limited

By "limited" I'm thinking first trimester or a little past, parental consent to teen abortion, etc.

Not comparable examples imo. The wall is a national security issue and the abortion argument is a social issue. Their importance to the grand scheme of things political are different.

Hell. You could pass a ban on abortions after 1st trimester TODAY in basically every state but for the fact 99% of democrats would vote against it.
And that's WITHOUT the wall

You won't be able to broker such a peace deal because of the goals of the left. Destruction and subjugation of everything Christian or traditionally American cannot coexist with what it is trying to wipe.out.
Democrats are basically ISIS with lawyers and briefcases instead of bombs.

And that's the problem.
If California wants to pass super liberal legislation, I'm content to point and laugh.
It would be nice if the California's of the country would return the favor

Ok, say the Dems all come in and say "We will leave the Christians alone if they will leave us alone on gays/trans/abortion."
Suppose the Lord and Savior, Prince of Peace, Way-Truth-Life appears at the negotiation and whispers in your ear that they are serious about it and you can trust them to follow through.
Do you take the deal? What would you take?
(P.S. I'm not taking the Lord's name in vain. Jesus and I are straight.)

Unfortunately federalism isn't a fix when part of those ultra liberal laws involve trying to give sanctuary to Islam and central America by inviting every illegal alien on the planet to live in your state.

Yes

putting aside nuts on both sides
Not sure we can because a majority of each side considers a majority on the other side to be nuts, so it's somewhat relative.

I can't put aside constitutional issues, since the Constitution is the foundation of the nation. Without it, the United States doesn't exist.
So the deal is that the Constitution is supreme and must apply to all of us, equally. No more two-or-three-tiered system of justice, no more tolerance of corruption just because it occurs within one's own party, and so on.
Paul Ryan - not only must he go, but he needs to be exposed and if guilty of crime, convict him; if worthy of impeachment for his time as a Rep, impeach him.
Hillary - same deal.
And on and on and on.
Either the Constitution matters or it doesn't. If it does, then we all live by it. If it doesn't, then...keep your powder dry because we are all in for a big mess.

There is no deal to be had. Christians were leaving the LGBT population alone. It's that other religion that throws them off roofs and shoots up gay bars.
Despite this, gays make common cause in the democrat party with Muslims to attack Christians.
Enough to make one wonder if they are just different branches in the army of the father of lies.

Brother, I am with you on that. I love, support, honor and will defend it.
What I mean by put it aside is that we assume we can all agree to amend the Constitution to conform to whatever deal we cut.
So what would you "give" if the Dems agreed to send Hillary to jail? (Say they've got the goods on her.)

Ok. Say the Dems agree to deport all muslims. (We'd likely have to amend statutes and the Constitution, but say we do that.) What would you give in return?

Nobody's been fricking with the gays and trans. Leave us the frick alone on it.

Republicans don’t want to deport all Muslims.
Let’s say Repubs agree to let Dems kill even more brown babies at Planned Parenthood using federal funds, what would you give up in return?
