Their is a sign outside Soldier Field at the entrance - "DEDICATED TO THE DEFENDERS OF OUR LIBERTY"
And you had two players kneeling inside that football stadium.

last time I checked freedom of speech is one of the freedoms protected in this country.

Maybe he should go to the CFL. At least he won't have to kneel during the Canadian national anthem. He won't have to be see the American flag anymore, since he hates this country so much.

Enough people in this country find it disrespectful.

Just like how a teenager is getting shite on for wearing a Chinese dress. Enough people feel she's being disrespectful, even if that wasn't her intent.

Doesn't mean there aren't consequences.

You can't say whatever you want to whomever. good luck with that freedom of speech line when you get fired from your job.

Gee and I thought we lived in America.

Then again, we have a POtuS who doesn't respect our nation's laws and thinks there may be some good people among white nationalists and white supremacy groups.

Ok...I was on his side up until now. He made some stupid decisions initially but when he got a 2nd chance to sign as a free agent, he blew it.

This is on him now. The Bengals wanted to sign him but when they asked if he would kneel again, he wouldn't agree not to. This is not blackballing...this is making a business decision.

No NFL wants to put up with this bullshite anymore and they are making it known.

we do and nothing he said contradicts that. Where in the constitution does it say you have a right to do and say whatever you want and not face any consequences from non-governmental bodies?

the First Amendment doesn't apply to private entities, only the government.

And I fail to see how your second comment has any relevance whatsoever to this thread.

I'm not upset...it is his life. Just wish he would have made a better decision.

this has NOTHING TO DO with the First Amendment, which only prohibits the GOVERNMENT from punishing you over your speech.

Private employers can prohibit speech any way they choose.
