As someone who rarely attends mass and lives where father cleo was once a resident, I will say this. I use to attend mass more when father cleo was here. Christmas mass would be packed when he was here. Saturday night, midnight mass and Christmas morning mass they had to put extra seats because there were so many people. I went to mass this past Christmas and they didn't have no one in the extra seat and the pews might have been.. maybe 75% full. Some of it has to do with the new priest, but at least Cleo put some production into his masses.

Let's be honest, it's a business and just like any other business you have to spend money to make money and the more people who goes to church the more money it brings in.

He was cool. Dude riding around in his benz, wears his black hair slicked back with just his left hand on the steering wheel.. He likes his wine as well and not just any wine, he likes top shelf.

He likes luxury cars and good wine.. He doesn't have sex.. So hell, who am I to judge a man who likes to drink the good stuff and likes to ride around in style?

If I would see him on the road, he would always blow the horn at me and give me a big wave. I know some people didn't care for him for the same reason you don't and because he always wanted everyone "perfect", but I think that's good management. He didn't half arse anything.
