First time PT thread starter, likely my last. Just wanted to share:
LINK

Golden State of Mind article:

quote:

Stephen Curry turned the Pelicans into a footnote in his Golden Moment three years ago. Let’s reflect on that devastating event in light of New Orleans’ raging return to meet the champs in the postseason.

quote:

It was the first sweep of the Splash Bros era, and the moment we all realized Stephen Curry was literally the clutchest shooter in the history of all basketball. Meanwhile young Pelicans star, Anthony Davis, was banished into obscurity for three years, toiling away with no playoff wins on his resume. The Pelicans franchise was nearly crushed forever.

quote:

Then again, Golden State did humiliate them
Clearly, the Pelicans are seething with animosity for the Bay’s team destroying them three years ago. But can you blame them? The Warriors built what now stands as the towering Golden Empire on the soil of graves filled with Pelican bones.

People out here in Oakland are not overly confident. They have a lot of respect for what AD has been doing. Most I talk to say 6 or 7 game series.

It’s funny because a few I’ve had interactions with will say “we aren’t worried about Houston. If we can get past you guys, it’s done.”

I was not impressed with Houston in their first series.

Nice article, Steph will mostly like sit game one to see how well they match up. If the pels win the 1st game he will be in game 2.

I'm defensive about people talking out of their arse. I don't shite talk NOLA cause I've only been there once. You ever set foot in Oakland? I bet you dollars to donuts the only time you've seen Oakland is the blimp view of Oracle before a Finals game. That's a shitty part of Oakland, but, again, the key word is PART

I almost started a riot at an Oakland As game trolling their fans. It was a shithole.

I’m from NOLA and it’s a bit of a shithole too.

I do not live in Oaktown, my man. I live in Santa Barbara. I lived in the bay for 30 years, and I spent many days in the east bay. It's rough as hell in some parts of Oaktown, and easy living in other parts. That's all I can say.

If Steph plays, he’s 100%. Zero chance they let him on the floor with a chance he could re-injure that knee and miss the rest of the playoffs.

They’ve been trying to convince themselves of that all year.

Houston better worry about Utah. That's a tough place to play.
