Our fans don't suck

Response thread.
The enthusiasm and unity among the fanbase for basketball is palpable on here. This is what happens when there are concrete examples of a positive vision and direction for the future. It's what happens when there is an air of competence around a program.
We currently don't have that for football, thus the dissonance. Things may look bleak right now, but they can change quickly with some recalibration.

you have no idea how this "recalibration" will cost our program millions and millions and make it very difficult to hire a credible coach. the bull shite going on now with these "LSU fans" will set our program back a decade or more.

Same fans will be bitching about the basketball team if they fall short of an SEC championship and final four appearance next season.
Some people support the teams through thick and thin. Some people hop on the bandwagon when it’s hot, and are the first to ridicule players and coaches if they come up short on their sometimes unfair lofty expectations

If Will Wade underachieves, which for this fan base is anything short of a final 4 appearance, he will be skinned alive.

I wouldn’t say they suck, but they’re not as passionate and loyal as some people pretend them to be. Lotta fairweather fans in our fan base.
