You just don't get how an interim injects life into a team do you ? Hal Hunter took an unranked LSU team to Arkansas and beat the shite out them.

It was a home game, but other than that I agree.

Look you know as well as I do both teams he was interim for were talent rich and just needed a spark in which O is great at.

What does this say about Kiffin? If the team was talent rich but all they needed was a spark to have a winning record and go to a bowl game.

Was Joey Freshwater too busy chasing coeds to give the team a simple spark?

Lane Kiffin was and is a better head coach than Ed Orgeron. He will most likely continue to be as well

And we will watch lane at FAU and O at LSU for that competition to play out.

Ok, fine. Kiffin at P5 schools: 35-24. Still a better record than Orgeron.

Still isn’t good.

Orgeron wasn't such a great guy for a while either. And has proven that he sucks at leading a program

Would lane kiffen make that much of a difference?

How is this hard to understand? No, he would not. They are both pretty poor coaches with character flaws. Orgeron has roots here,so he’s got that going for him.

7-6 at Tennssee, not great but it was a turn in the right direction for them.

The majority of the guys he recruited at Tennessee were dismissed within a year of him leaving. IIRC, they only retained like 5 or 6 of the guys he signed in his only class there and none of their highly touted recruits. And UT was also put on probation after Kiffin left. I wouldn't call his tenure a failure, but I certainly wouldn't call it a resounding success either.

all the dirt on Oregon happened 30 years ago. Kiffin has had shite going on off the field as recently as his last year in Tuscaloosa.

Lane will be a HC for years to come. O has months left in his HC career.

The real head coach that USC fired and caused the athletic director to step down. That REAL head coach? Ha Ha Ha !!!

Yeah, because Lane is coaching at a program appropriate for his ability.

I don't give a shite how long ago it was, it's in his past.

That's straight opinion. You have issues with people not agreeing with your opinion. Kiffin would be a better HC at LSU than Ed Orgeron (my opinion). So he would make a difference. How you quantify "that much of a difference" would be the only argument.

Orgeron has roots here,so he’s got that going for him.

How long ago is pretty important.

where do you think the Joey Freshwater stuff came from? Do you think it's a good look for your head coach to be chasing college girls on campus under an alias?

See, you can't make case for Orgeron on just ability, because he measures up to no one.

You have to bring up the off-field stuff to tear them down, which is ironic given that O thinks it's acceptable to physically assault people as a means of conflict resolution.

I don't know what Kiffin was doing while there but I do know he arrived there with some baggage with the way he left Tennessee. I'm not an advocate for Kiffin being the HC at LSU but if I had to choose between him or O I would take Kiffin due to the fact LSU needs a HC that can fix this offense. O and Steve E are most likely not going to get it done and why anyone would think they will is beyond me. Now I could be wrong but I seriously doubt it. LSU desperately needs to change its image on offense because it's basically become a national joke concerning being able to complete passes.

He thinks it's acceptable or he got in a bar fight in 1992? To my knowledge he hasn't had any repeated behavior like that since, so not sure why you want to present it like he think it's ok. Why not just present what he did like it happened and not try to bolster your argument by presenting a logical fallacy?

Really wasn't knocking Joey about the coed deal. Just questioning why his team had lost 7 of its last 11 if all they needed was a spark. He was fired 5 games into the season. That is a team's pre-season so to speak.

I know right.

Lost Surtain after he was in the boat for 4 years. My god, how bad a choke job was that?

Already lost Sospher, Gunnell's not coming. That talent pool is slowly being diluted by Orgeron, the master recruiter.
