I know Oppossom comes highly recommend, but they are booked up until dang near June.
Any other recommendations? Anyone to avoid?
I just need a tall water Oak taken out of my front yard. It’s next to the power line and road, so I don’t want to do it myself.

I’ve used Bob’s in the past. Fair price. No complaints.

We used Billy Broussard a few years ago
https://billybroussard.biz/
But get quotes.
We previously used Rapid Roberts and I know folks who have used Possum's. Prices can vary a lot and those guys are have decent reputations (Billy Broussard and Possum's in particular when I was looking).
If they are insured/bonded, Price should probably be you determining factor

Jim's Tree Service in Kaplan took out a tree for me a while back. They did a good job.

Any chance it is mostly in the easement? Maybe can get power co to do it for you.

Unfortunately, no. I tried that a few years ago when the tree was a little smaller. They came and hacked the branches off the power line. I tried to pay the tree cutters some cash to take it all, but they wouldn't bite.
