I was training dogs in the Bonnet Carre yesterday and the corps stopped by to visit. They said they expected the water to come up late May/June to record levels not seen before. They expect the spillway to be open most of the summer.
Sounds like what Don was saying has legs. Sure hope it’s wrong that would be crazy for the Fishing down south not to mention the river is already silting in pretty bad with the multiple high rivers last few years.

There must be some long term projections they have, the river forecast only take into account known rain that has happen and forecasted for 10 days or so. I would believe it, river has stayed up and if they are predicting a wet spring we could be in trouble. We hunt inside the levee north of Vicksburg and the river has been a real pain last couple of years.
