Looking for someone in the Ag Dept I can correspond with who is an expert with turfgrass issues who could advise me on a problem with my home lawn. Does anyone know of an expert at LSU who I may contact? Thank you!

Ron Strahan with the ag department. He’s very busy though, so understand that his time is valuable. Be ready for what you are going to ask him.

When you say be ready what do you mean? Does he respond best to emails or phone calls?

Call 3377344213 that’s turf grass farms, the people who do tiger stadium, Alex box, the softball field at LSU, plus they do multiple other schools and places. It’s a good friend who owns it, he will have any answer you need. Seriously

I'm trying to get my lawn healthy and get rid of the weed sections of my bermudagrass

Used Scott's weed and feed a couple of weeks ago, but I'm not sure how well it's working

Give it a little bit. Turf grass is one of those things you really need to see in person to grasp what’s going on.

Your problem is Virginia buttonweed, the bane of civilization. It will require regular applications of MSM.

You're welcome.

If buttonweed is your problem then use Celsius and be done with it. No need to apply msm several times.
