LeBron has shot under 23% only 11 times in his career, and his teams are 0-11 in those games.

Last night was Harden's 30th time shooting sub 23% in Houston (8-22) and 66th time overall (28-38).

Harden's more valuable to his team though.

MVP

Winning a playoff game with the best player in the league sucking. Winning by 20+

They aren't the top team in the league because of Harden. They are the top team in the league because of a terrible, terrible stack of teams tanking and because of Chris Paul.

Good thing Chris Paul was there. He's the straw that stirs the drink.

There's a reason James had to sit the back seat with Ariza in their commercial.

It has to be one or the other I guess. Impossible that the combo of all three plus a good supporting cast and coach made them the best in the league

Oh wait this is a thread for posters to argue with Boom my bad

The MVP isn't a competition to see which candidate has the shittiest team.

That's an idiotic way to look at it.

Kind of the way it’s always seemed to me.

Well when someone does that then you should call it out. It's obvious that his point is about conflating team success with individual success. I think Harden is deserving and will win, but he shouldn't win because his teammates were also great, he should win because he was was greater than anyone else.

It also shouldn't automatically go to the best player on the best team yet it has for years.

That's why it's a joke now.

Any idea what the comparable records are when they score over 40?

That's not what he said. He said:

He's not talking about value on his own. He's not talking about winning because he was greater than anyone else... he's talking about his value relative to his shitty team.

Read better.

Hey Einstein,

The award is NBA MVP. Not who is most valuable to their team.

Oh and I’d say Houston having hardwn and in turn having Chris Paul, Pj, luc etc etc. makes him pretty freaking important to his team too.

Yea, let’s punish harden for being so good that Chris Paul wanted to go play with him.

Nah dude, your team is too good for you to be MVP. never mind they are so good because other players around the league wanna come play with you.

We will give the mvp Instead to the guy who tried to trade away his sidekick and got caught and now is left with sub par supporting cast.

Thought we were done with MVP. Tbt with reg season being over. Last exit poll look like 90ish% of first place votes for James. I will make this thread into a victory lap for hardwn tho real quick if anyone wants to

LeBron's teams are 61-19 when he scores 40 or more - .765 Winning %

Harden's teams are 41-13 when he scores 40 or more - .759 Winning %

I was under the impression from his previous posts, that he was countering the narrative of those who think Harden deserves it for his team's success. I think he's a "who was a better player" person. If I'm wrong about him, then he deserves to be called out.
