I've had it for about 6 months now. I can say that if you're just getting into fishing, and building a tackle box, and you don't really know where to start, it's a good deal. With that being said, I don't feel like I'm really getting that much of a discount. The $14/month box usually comes with some kind of hardbait, a bag of plastics, and some kind of terminal tackle. Oh, and a sticker...
packed in the box is a list of what's inside, and the MSRP of each item. The hardbait is usually the most expensive, and most of the time, it's over $12. BUT, that does not mean that you can't go to walmart and get the same bait for $6. To put things into perspective, I got back from walmart 30 minutes ago where I picked up a lipless crank, a popper, a crankbait, a twitchbait, a walking bait and two jerkbaits for ~$20.

tl;dr
im kinda happy with it. no, i wouldnt do it again.

It's kind of a catch 22. My wife loves to gift me fishing related things for birthdays or Christmas, etc. But then never wants me to go fishing to actually use the stuff.

You forgot to include “you never use the gifts that I bayou”

My buddy's 12yr old son gets the $15/month box with his yard money. He is VERY excited and on fire for bass fishing and he's using it to build his tackle kit. Spent the other weekend showing us all the stuff he collected. I think this situation is worth it.

For me, I buy about $15 of what I want every time I run to Walmart for diapers and formula...and I have lots of tackle I don't use.
