They aren’t running from it.
They’re just doing a lousy job at replacing it.
Rest assured that a Republican who supports that disaster (ACA) would be voted out of office with great speed.
That said, the Republican Party abandoned conservatives years ago.
I initially had hope for the TEA Party; now I just support individual candidates, as I await Texas nationalism.

Austin, Houston and Dallas are the real Texas, and much like the rest of America, that is, mainstream and normal.

Not entirely. They need to dial back some of the unnecessary coverage mandates that serve only to inflate premiums and lock people out of the insurance market.
