What's even funnier/creepier, is that we've heard for years how evil Republicans are and want families to die....yet they want that same Republican party having a say in how the entire healthcare industry is run.

In the context used in this statement we have had socialized medicine in the US for at least 70 years.....through what is arguably the best period in the histaory of mankind for the middle class.
Again one has to ask.....who is currently paying for the uninsured and the underinsured? Certainly not providers......they can’t....economic law will not allow it. The only person left to pay for the uninsured and the underinsured is the paying customer....there is not a difference in this than there is shoplifting.....the paying customer makes up for the non paying one.
I know it is the dream of conservatives to live in a society where the uninsured and the underinsured are allowed to live with the consequences of their decision to be uninsured or underinsured. Unfortunately it doesn’t exist for 2 reasons....the first reason is the decision to not have insurance is easy to make until you get sick....then suddenly you change your m8nd and seek treatment even if it means you have to steal it. This fact coupled with the fact that providers will treat sick people without the ability to pay because providers are decent humans who can’t turn a sick person away means the paying customer is going to foot the bill for the non paying customer....and the way we do it today we also foot the bill for collection efforts. It would be much more cost effective to simply provide universal health care....those of us who pay for health care are already doing this because paying customers always pay for non paying customers. The only way to stop it is to make it a crime for a provider to not get paid up front.
