Pelican Island use to be a mile or 2 from Dauphin Island. The DI fishing pier is right there. Fished it a few times. Now it's high and dry. The hurricanes closed it.
It's right at the public beach.
The golf course is a maybe couple of miles down from the public beach. Before you could park at the golf course and walk to the beach, not sure they will let you now. If not just go to the public beach parking and walk down a ways.
