should begin if the FBI and DOJ do not cough up the 1.2 million documents in a few days which have been requested by Congress months ago.

Congress has a right to investigate FBI and DOJ. Both are obstructing Justice.
How long is Congress gonna wait before heads roll?
Time is up!!

Dilly Dilly!

But for real, the Dems don't care. They actually want the FBI and DOJ to keep those docs held close to their chest.

I was disturbed by that segment with Laura Ingraham - she was not all HAM on this issue and she should have been. She subtlely shot Jordan down a couple times there and certainly didn't reinforce his message that oversight must be unfettered yada yada yada....made me wonder if she's started going soft on this stuff since her latest bit of friction.

If Congress subpoenaed documents, from a gov't dept., and they do not hand them over, then Congress has the right to send people to jail. Congress normally does not send anyone to jail. These gov't agencies know this, so they don't care what Congress asks for. Congress will need to send people to jail for not handing over subpoenaed documents to wake up these people.

Heard on Rush yesterday that the DOJ has stated it will take them 3 years to compile document containing the texts between the FBI Strozk and his mistress. IG already has this info and is supposed to be mentioned in his findings.

That’s what I’m failing to understand @ Congress. Their whole reason for existence is to exert control over the country. Thus, they should be the bug swinging dick in the room to get what they ask for from the peons they ARE OVER. So frustrating.

Yeah, but didn't the FBI go through tens of thousands of hilldawg's emails to clear her before the election in a matter of a few days?

I forgot about that. When you have to read every document so you can redact all parts that show you have committed many crimes, it takes much longer to go over the documents.
This is not the fault of Congress. You give the DOJ/FBI a deadline, if they miss the deadline, then people go to jail. Rosenstien, Wray, Session, and whoever was assigned the task to hand over documents.
Once people know they will go to jail, get fired, or have to resign, most will hand over unredacted documents.

I think Nunes is running out of patience with these groups. Jim Jordan seems like he is not ready to drop the hammer.

Congress has no authority to prosecute. For them to bring charges they'd have to hand over a referral to the very people they are investigating (the DoJ). So, yeah, it seems unlikely the DoJ will prosecute itself.
