If I had to pick, I'd probably say Denver.

And not because I think Denver is a bad place, I actually really like it. But it gets hyped up to the point where reality just can't keep up. So by definition, I'd say it's overrated.

Would still live there in a heartbeat though.

That's a lot of places in this thread

I don't dislike Austin or Nashville, but neither really live up to the hype for me (particularly Nashville).

I lived in Denver for a couple of years and loved it. Loved that it was so bike friendly, skiing in the winter, hiking and mountain climbing in the summer.

Boulder is this and more so. And yes, I've lived there. I liked it OK but there are plenty of places I'd rather live.

This is the same reason I chose Denver. I like the city and I think it's a fine place to live but the hype it gets (especially on this board) is incredible. No city could live up to it. Calling a city overrated doesn't mean you think it's a bad city.
