Had an event and couldn't watch. Did he really not make it out of the first?

Threw dick high fun balls up there and paid the price. He was flat and missing spots.

Couldn’t get any swing and misses. He’s got good control but no command

He left meatballs in the middle of the plate. Velocity was down. A recipe for disaster.

He misunderstood the schedule and thought it was a BP session he was throwing.

Maybe he needs to work out bullpen a bit. Coach is one of those coaches that isn't scared to try different things We do need him to get his issue straightened up if we are to have any kind of a chance at post season.

Gilbert's style is pitching to contact. He's not a strikeout guy like Hess. When his pitches aren't breaking/moving, & he isn't hitting his spots...this is going to happen.

I think he leaves his breaking ball up and in the middle of the strike zone and this might sound foolish but he throws too many strikes when he ahead in the count. he'll get guys 1-2, 2-2 and instead of using a couple of junk/close out of the zone pitches he throws a hittable strike/breaking ball.

He’s just not a weekend starter.

He seems to have a knack for hitting the opposing team's bats, really well.
With a flat fastball with no movement, right down the middle of the plate, what do you think happened?
His inconsistencies this year have me wondering if he has an injury that hasn't been diagnosed.
Surely, we don't need a weekend starter with a WHIP approaching 2 and an opposing batting avg approaching .400.

I can only hope he figures out his problem before next weekend, or either Paul does something about it himself.
