McDonald came on hoops schollie
Once he started playing baseball at LSU, it was pretty clear that would be his future.
Still not sure why McDonald didn't get drafted really high in baseball out of high school - he missed most of baseball season though finishing high school hoops schedule. By the time he got to baseball it was almost too late to get noticed and all he really had was a fastball, no secondary stuff until he got to LSU.
