You dont think it started with certain people bragging and taking all the credit when the market does well?

This is all quite reactionary, I'd support not making a thread whenever something that goes up and down goes up or down

anyone not in retirement already, that talks about daily ups and downs in the market with respect to their 401k is an idiot.
TRUTH!!
I still have another 13 years before I start taking from my investments. My mutual funds are still medium risk, and I will ride that for the next year or two. After that, I will go more conservative in preparation for retirement. These short-term gains and losses don't mean much to me.

I'm personally thrilled the left is so happy about the stock fall.

If the market had continued upwards with no glitches, the left would have spent the next 100 years giving Obama the credit.

But NOW, they've blamed the whole thing on Trump.

Yeah. I know. If it goes back up, they'll revert but they'll look like complete tards when they do.

The left has completely gutted their "not Trump's economy" argument. If the economy/market turns north again.........they've got jack shite to say about it.

Because trump took credit for the whole thing...?

You really don't see that when its up trump takes credit by tweeting about it and this board spikes the football and when its down people try and rub it in his face?

Your point?

Mine is simple.

The left wanted to be able to say that nothing good was Trump's.

Now, they've laid the whole economy at his feet.

Gonna be pretty funny to watch them try and give Obama credit in the future.

Of course I see it. All Presidents try and take credit for all good stuff.

And, their opponents always rightly point out that they don't deserve all the credit.

But, politically speaking, you can't go from "Holy frick, Trump's economy is shite" when things are rough BACK to "are you shitting me, this is still Obama's economy" if things turn good.

I completely agree. That's quite hypocritical. Would you agree both sides do that depending on who's in office?

Your 401k doesn't have that amount for a while, for most people, I was just saying stupid crap. Nevermind. Congrats on the money

Of course.

And make no mistake, my point now applies to both.

If you spend the 1st year saying, "look at what I did that's so awesome", you can't spend the 3rd year saying "my predecessor really fricked me".

Thus are the hazards of taking all the credit or shifting all the blame.

Obama spent an inordinate amount of time blaming Bush.......then the first fricking tick upwards and suddenly, "look at Obama's economy!!!"

This right here is why you've NEVER seen me start a stock market thread OR seen me get all giddy/upset over a day to day move in the market.

They sure blamed Clinton when the economy crashed under Bush.

I'd bet a dollar that should the economy crash in Trump's last year, it'll be "Thanks, Obama", but if it thrives, it'll be all Trump's doing. Just the nature of the beast.
