That is THE requirement

That is an imaginary, victimless crime, not a grave injustice to anything in the natural (read: verifiable) world.

If you are a true atheist you should not be offended.

Well put, very accurate and no, I'm not offended. Nonbelievers are not and should not be offended by things they don't believe in, that would be silly.

Having said that, I AM bothered by people that, on one hand, preach to me about morality, how I lack it because I lack faith (as if the two are even mildly related) and how they pity me and my nonbelief, and on the other hand relish in the idea that good people will burn in Hell, even if they pretend otherwise. Clearly, that does not apply to you, so I bid you a wonderful Easter!

Both sides preach this.

and how they pity me and my nonbelief, and on the other hand relish in the idea that good people will burn in Hell.

You have now made the point of your previous argument. I don’t give two shits what you believe.

so I bid you a wonderful Easter!

Thanks. You too!

True Christians don't relish in the thought of anyone burning in hell. That sounds more like the description of Christians that atheists use to demonize them.

I grew up in the church, and I have never thought that morality and faith are synonymous. I was never taught that people that lack faith also lack morality.

From my experience, there is a caricature of Christians that exists in the minds of many non-religious people that simply isn't accurate.

Interesting, isn't it? It always points back to morality. The Lord placed the discernment of sin/morality in your/ my heart.
