Why would his disciples die for him afterwards if there is no resurrection?
Why would anyone die for something that doesn’t exist or was made up?

Millions have died for Islam, among other religions and beliefs. They can't all be right.

And millions more will also perish needlessly. You, me, we, are not the alpha and omega, if you believe you're on the top of this undefinable reality's "totem pole" you need to lift the vail from your eyes just one time before you close your eyes for the last time.

Of course. It's our nature.

t’s been proven time and time again.

Sounds like you’re asking why doesn’t the mainstream media cover it.

I wonder....

You are definitely on to something here. This statement could not be truer. MSM has an agenda...

Go down the rabbit hole people...it is all connected.

The only nature that will lead to perishment is your willing submission to your sin nature and your subsequent rejection of the risen Savior, Jesus Christ.

The unbelievers know the answer but their attachment to a fallen world, the here and now have them captive and the final chapter is foreign to their minds.

You believe millions of non-Christians throughout history have died for lies, you just don't realize it.

By definition, if any one religion is true the martyrs of every other religion died for a falsehood.

And just so we're clear, there is no historical evidence other than church tradition that any of the disciples were martyred except for Peter and James.

People all over the world are being converted to various religions and experiencing profound changes by those religions and their respective historical religious figures. An atheist may experience profound changes, as I have, by studying cosmology and contemplating the galaxies and stars and the universe. The fact that this occurs throughout civilization and with competing religious doctrines (or no doctrines at all) tells you there absolutely HAS to be another explanation.

And what makes the people experiencing change through their belief in Jesus so much better from an evidentiary standpoint than the experiences of people in other religions?

This actually false. There were several witnesses of Jesus after he rose 3 days later. Like I said in my earlier post, you won't hear the truth from the basic places you usually receive information, MSM.

Also, the Pharisees bribed the Roman guards who were guarding the stone door to the tomb to say that Jesus' disciples stole the body, to justify why the body was gone.

I worry about the Christian hell about as much as you worry about the Muslim hell.

Worldwide many more people are converted to Islam than Christianity annually, and among the Christian denominations conversion to Catholicism dwarfs Protestantism/Evangelicalism (the dominant belief systems on this board).

In fact, the highest conversion rate per capita in the world is to Mormonism, another false belief system according to this board.

But I'm not faulting atheists or agnostics. I was agnostics for several years because I am a very logical and scientific person.

But I've been doing a lot of soul searching and real research on the history of...well...everything.

My 2 conclusions:

1. Jesus is my Lord and Savior
2. There is a very dark and disturbing conspiracy that has been going on for thousands of years

I'll just leave it at that...

Good for you, and that belief works for many people and gives them comfort and happiness.

I just find every argument for Christianity either unconvincing or demonstrably false.

The disciples are martyrs to this very day. The atheistic movement is still trying to kill Jesus and his disciples by using "science" to prove God does not exist so therefore the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ is nothing more than an embellishment of history that over time morphed into a tall tale or myth. It was such a myth the modern calendar was forever changed by Christ's birth and his death.

He is and has risen!!

Not sure about that, I heard recently that one of the highest conversion rates is in China to Christianity.

I'll do a little checking to see if I can find some more info.

I definitely respect you as a poster and I trust that you've done some research. Have you read many or any Catholic theologians? I'm biased but we tend to be more scientific and reasonable when explaining our faith.
