What is he witnessing? LSU continuing to tack on runs despite his whining?

You know, Prairieville is very close to me. Not opposed to kicking a retiree’s arse.

Where did I say that? All I’m doing is refuting this stupid parroted line that we can’t bunt for shite. You don’t rank 2nd in the SEC in sac bunts if you are terrible at bunting.

No but the mini corn dogs will be half price at 7.

So how is that a coaching issue over a player execution issue?
Most of these kids have been the best hitter on every team they have ever played on so they were never asked to bunt in games. Now some of them cant hit SEC pitching and they need to bunt. And that means that they need to practice bunting until their freaking arms are locked into that position from being there so much. That is what makes it a coaching issue. You can bet your arse if Skip had this problem each of those guys would be bunting 500 balls off the machine and live pitching every day until their statistics show that they are nearly 100% successful every day.
No excuse for a 155 lb SS who hits .235 to not be able to safety squeeze off any fastball he gets thrown.

Your wrong. It’s on the players to make the plays. Those that never have played sports like to blame the coaches. Do you really think the coaches taught Hal Hughes to bunt that poorly or perhaps they taught Feduccia to let passed balls get by.

I was told by someone on this board bunting is harder than hitting. You can't make this stuff up. The inability to move runners will cost us a game that matters.

You missed the point. It obvious bunting is not a priority at practice. Coach recruited these players.

It obvious bunting is not a priority at practice.
Better yet, how many practices have you attended this season?
I attended about half a dozen practices last fall and this spring and at every one of them, as in 100%, there was an emphasis on bunting during batting practice. A batter was not allowed to swing away during BP until he put down 3 acceptable bunts in a row.
Don't use the excuse that you live in Ville Platte and that makes it impossible for you to attend practices since you obviously know what drills the coaches put the players through at practice....

You’re wrong. While it is the players’ job, it is the coaches job to make sure they are prepared. I think CPM is one of the great coaches in college, but he should be embarassed by that bunting performance.

He was not pretending to give important information. He was using the obvious nature to make a point: The coach recruited them, chose which should play, and coached them. Therefore, it is the coach’s responsibility.

Yea I know about the 3 bunts then swing away. It's not an emphasis with only 3 bunts. I've been to practices over the years as well

It goes further back than CPM. Players should be taught how to bunt starting in Little League. They should know how to bunt before they even come to LSU.

I am sure they practice it. We also don’t do it well.
It is just what is happening now. This team is lacking right now and the goodballs are out for their analysis.
Smith and Broussard get back and who knows what could happen. But threee failed bunts in March won’t define this team or the coach,
I just pray the first time watchers shite up.
I’m just glad coach taught Watson and Jordan to hit dingers. And Hughes and Bain to turn a great two. And taught Duplantis to make diving catches, and Beau and Zach to communicate on balls in the gap.

quote:So, Mr. LSU Baseball Expert Coach, how many bunts would you have each batter do every time it's their turn at batting practice?
It's not an emphasis with only 3 bunts.
