Walmart gets huge tax breaks from local governments on the (likely erroneous) belief that it will boost the local economy

Walmart jacks around smaller suppliers (especially locally-sourced produce), doing such things as letting shipments sit too long and spoil, and then refusing to pay. This after strong-arming the little guy into nearly breakeven prices on the promise of large volume.

They scatter smaller stores around an area until the mom-and-pop's and other local competition is starved out, then shut those down to consolidate into a larger store to service the whole area. This leaves the people with basically one option for many items that is now a further drive than what they had before, provides fewer jobs, and lowers property values all around.




Walmart is a very fine-tuned machine that snipes small businesses and sucks up their profits at the expense of local governments, the local workforce, and taxpayers as a whole. We pay the living expenses of their employees! How is this an economic godsend?

So you are confused that a private company can utilize a federally funded organization more cheaply than any other small-business, and profit from it..... obviously you're okay with Bezos becoming the richest man in the world on the back of the US taxpayer ....Trump is not
