We visit this vineyard every time we're in Gaiole in Chianti.
Isodi
The family is welcoming and are very proud of their outstanding wines. We're staying there in September in one of the rooms. I can't recommend it enough. It's the exact opposite of a huge commercial vineyard.

As far as other vineyards to go to there's Baron Ricasoli. It's a beautiful castle and it's where the Chianti Classico formula was first made. Brolio is an outstanding wine as is their Tuscan blend called Casalferro.
Banfi is a good stop. Capannelle is great and it's rumored that Elton John has his wines stored in the cellar.
There are tons of great wineries in the Tuscan region. An easy way to sample wines there is to go to an enoteca (tasting room) where you can taste a lot of different wines. The enoteca in Greve is outstanding. Enoteca Falorni
