Was there a difference in flavor

It had a bit more flavor but I noticed it was more spicy than normal too. I usually soak for 25 minutes and did the same even though I used this. I may have to adjust to a shorter soak for less spicy (my family isn't big on spice heat).

Is that pineapple that I see in the boil?

Yes sir. Just cut it up in 1.5"-2" slices and throw it in when you put the potatoes (I put mine in first, just after I've stirred in the seasoning).

Deliciously sweet with some heat. I heard about doing it last year and did it in several of my boils and we all love it.

Seems like a complaint to me. But to each his own.

I'm glad that it worked for you and was free, but I don't see why anyone would buy that thing @ $65 when a stainless immersion chiller for $45-$50 is much more efficient(probably quicker too) and makes less to no mess compared to the boil boss.

I won't buy it, but it seems like it would help boiling shrimp more than crawfish.

Thanks for the review though.

Yep. Need to cool down shrimp a lot quicker.
