Since throwing rocks is in the top 10 of most obtuse of ideas, let me throw a possibility out there. Arm and train all teachers and staff that would like to be armed.
Announce that there are 3,000 armed in the county, or parish. When the media asks for a list of how many at each school are armed, tell them Nunya. Then a potential bad guy cannot be aware of how many at his potential target may take him out.
These school shooters are cowards and unstable. They will not attack a target that can end them.

yes they will, they don’t give a frick. They are going in there to die, they don’t care that the teacher down the hall might be armed. That’s not in the thought process.
