Conflict of Interest?

First ever post so please be gentle!
McCabe's attorney, Michael Bromwich, used to work for the DOJ as an Inspector General back in the '90's. Is he now suing the DOJ for firing McCabe and is that a CoI or doesn't it matter?

Conflict of interest only matters if you’re a republican. We all know this by now
Posted on 3/19/18 at 11:09 pm to roaniemacaroni70
It is not a conflict. Only a conflict if he worked on the case while he worked for that agency.

Probably half the people suing DOJ used to work for DOJ, it's a big resume chip if you end up private practice.

That $700,000 Mccabe's wife got from Hillary is a much bigger conflict of interest.

I agree, also a matter of violating the Hatch Act in campaigning with her.

But the $467,000 donation from Terry McAuliffe just seems like some red meat for people. I mean there was nothing illegal, or even that noteworthy, about the super pac of a state's governor donating to his party's candidate in his state's election.
And while people are trying to say McAuliffe's relationship with the Clintons is evidence that was basically used as a bribe for McCabe influence Hillary's investigation, there are quite of few major pieces of evidence that would have to be discovered to make that case.
And it's been year and half since then, and yet there is no more evidence to support this claim. And in fact, since McCabe's unauthorized leaking was information critical of Clinton, that evidence is counter to the bribe claim. I mean why would he take a bribe, a far more serious offense, only to turn around and cost his career and pension by going against the person who bribed him? That doesn't make sense.

Well, it is not like the demfilth are virgins in the Hatch Act violations list. Plenty of them have done it. And they flaunt it as well.
"Why would he take a bribe" a buck is a buck even if you have $11 millions of them and besides, nobody ever challenges them. Look at hitlary and all that old hag has gotten away with.
My opinion.

I think the 'red meat' is the amount + $140K = $700K for a State Senate race, where she was a miserable candidate with no qualifications who never dabbled in politics before/since.
How much has McAuliffe arranged for other state races? How much, and in what ways, was the $700K spent by ms McCabe? How hard did she really 'campaign?' Is she actively campaigning for some other race, or was this a one-and-done affair?
This is smelly to the core - and yes it was all perfectly 'legal.'
Among other things that are legal is the incoming NSA meeting with foreign country's ambassadors. during the transition period. And getting drunk in a bar in London and spouting off braggadocio. And traveling to Moscow by a private citizen to discuss the potential for erecting a skyscraper.
All of those legal things seems to be the initiating cause for a very intense invasion of privacy by the investigative agencies fo the USA.
The display of common graft by a known grafter influencing the lead official investigating a Clinton?? ---- nah = red meat for 'people.' = "deplorable" people, "white" people, "conservative" people.
bulls hit.

quote:Well in 2015 (the year McCabe ran), he gave:
How much has McAuliffe arranged for other state races?
$803,500 to Jeremy McPike
$781,500 to Dan Gecker
$467,500 to Jill McCabe
$270,550 to John Edwards
$252,500 to Gary McCollum
So not did he gave more to two other candidates, he gave them hundreds of thousands more, and he also gave substantial amounts to a couple other candidates.
