Hunt Palmer had a great statistic comparing Reid’s freshman season and Slaughter’s freshman season. Reid had more extra basehits than Slaughter did.

I have seen Reid make some plays and throws on slow rolling infield hits that i think slaughter would have made bad throws on to first...Reid is our best option right now but man when slaughter connects with a baseball that thing flies..However just throw him 3 breaking balls in the dirt and he will swing just about every time.
