Yep. He and Skip were honored at a banquet at L'Auberge the night before the first game with Notre Dame.

Auggie and Skip threw out the first pitch for one of the ND games.

ETA: Corrected to say it was before a game with Texas, not Notre Dame.

Jesus, he looks better than Skip there. Not that it matters with a stroke case.

If I recall correctly, we had Garrido, Bertman, Clemens, McDonald, and Meineiri all in the Box on the same weekend. Possibly even on the same night. Thats a whole lot of college baseball royalty right there.

I remember wondering which one was older - Skip or Augie. Augie looked middle aged next to Skip. He even threw the first pitch a lot better.

You just never know. If I had to bet which one would kick the bucket first, I would have put a lot of money on Skip.

Does anyone know why he left CSF to coach at Illinois for a couple of years and then return to CSF?
