30' wide span, prefab trusses will cost a shite load compared to 20' or even 24'. Then, at 30', I would have to use 2x6 studs.

what kind of floor plan you looking to do?

Just finishing up building a 30x44 shop. Only thing I haven’t done myself is build the trusses and install roof decking/shingles (pitch is 8/12).

The trusses are prefab, combination 2x4 and 2x6. The lumber company engineered them and delivered them to the house. We hired a heavy duty bucket truck and set them ourselves.
I think the 22 30’ span attic trusses were about $3,000.

If you’re looking for good videos on building this sort of thing, check out Larry Haun. It’s an older series but he takes you through a build right up to the electrical rough in.

Yea I think I'm going to go with 20x30 now. The floor plan will just be one big open shop. I make close in a, closet later to house my dust collection and compressor. I can use 2x4 studs with A shop that size with ten foot walls?
