For a honeymoon, you really can't beat Tahiti (Bora Bora and Moorea). It is pricey though and may be outside your budget but you should definitely look into it.

Tahiti is a looong way to go....and not everyone’s cup of tea once you get there. $8-$10k is a huge travel budget by my standards.....a few questions:
—how long?
—what level of amenities or service do you want?
—active outdoors, city/cultural, culinary, relaxation/low activity, or what?
—do you want to brag about your destination or do you want to enjoy it? (Not mutually exclusive, but too many ppl get stuck on the idea of going to a place, or telling others that they’re going to a place, rather than trying to figure out if they will actually enjoy the trip)
—can you split this amount into 2 separate trips over the next year/18 mos? IOW do you want a nice honeymoon now and a nice trip for your anniversary next year? Cause 10k doesn’t have to be blown in one fell swoop.

You could probably do Bora Bora on $10k, but it would have to be a short trip (maybe 4 days, I’m guessing). And I wouldn't recommend flying that far if you aren't staying at least a week and a half or so.
