Broussard (2B)
Duplantis (RF or LF if Cabrera or Beau is playing due to match up)
Smith (3B)
Watson (CF)
Feduccia (C)
Hughes (SS)
First base - Bryce at DH or depending on lefty righty match-up at first base. If Slaughter is better against lefties. He hits And plays the field.
Outfield - Beau and Cabrera platoon depending on matchups.

I want my best defensive player in the outfield depending on my pitcher. Does he throw a lot of fly ball outs. It’s the same on the infield. You have to play match-ups

Slaughter and Bain won’t be in the starting lineup when Smith comes back. Bain will probably be a pinch hitter a good bit though

All I know is 1B and 3B need to have big time offensive production.

Yep and if Bryce starts slacking at the plate then I think Slaughter will get in at first base. If Hughes starts slacking then Smith to SS and Slaughter stays at 3rd.

Bryce has been really impressive at 1B, and he's a much greater threat at the plate. When Smith returns, Slaughter will still play but just isnt one of the 9 best guys.

i'm not sold on hughs bat. sure, slaughter is struggling but I think he's the better option over hughs. I know he's got a good BA right now but I really don't think that'll last plus he doesn't seem to do well with RISP

I can handle a sub-par hitter at shortstop as long as he is great in the field (check) and can do the little things to move runners along such as bunting and putting the ball in play (check).

Im fine with Hughes batting .240 or so

Cabrera could also be at 1st with Bryce or Bain at DH
