Tybee Island, GA Bars/Restaurants?

Anything fun to do or any good bars to hit up on the island? Or are we better served to just stick to downtown Savannah for nightlife?
We have a group of 12 heading down the second week in April for a wedding. We will be there Thursday - Sunday. Ages 28-32.
TIA.

Nightlife is better in Savannah.
Tybee is a very relaxed island.
Huc-a-poos has great pizza.
Crab Shack is the tourist joint.

Tybee Island had a great brewery but it was taken out by a hurricane last time I was in Savannah about a year and a half ago. They had some really good sours that were canned pre storm.

Huc A Poos is where the locals hang out and good pizza, cornhole on the deck, ring toss, good music. Tybee Times is ok. Sundae Cafe has good seafood. Sugar Shack for a good burger. There is also a wet willies, which sells the frozen drinks (call a cab) Will literally knock you on your arse, I like to go get one and walk the pier. Like other poster said Crab Shack is the tourist thing and its pretty cool they have live alligators (boiled seafood only at least last time i went, just get low country for the table to share). The Rock House will have live music. AJ's dockside is a cool environment on the back river to eat, honestly can't remember how good the food was here. Go check out the lighthouse, and old fort screven areas, and tour Ft Pulaski if you're into civil war type stuff (still cool even if you're not). Hope this helps.
Also, for breafast, go to The Breakfast place. You won't be disappointed. Also fannies near the pier has some good food as well.

I appreciate all of the info. We chose Tybee over downtown for the purpose of sitting on the beach some during the day on Friday and before the wedding Saturday. Do they allow drinking on the beach? I found some laws, but they hadn't been updated since 2013.

I heard recently that Huc a Poos might be closing.
The best place to eat on Tybee, by far, is 80E. Fantastic food.
Go to AJ's Dockside and sit outside. Food is good, not great, but nice location. As an aside, their desserts are really good.
Tybee Island Social Club is pretty good.
If you like Thai/Asian go to Current. It's on the way out to Tybee.
Alcohol is not allowed, but keep things down low and NO GLASS and you will be fine.
Don't speed.
If there was ever a brewery on Tybee, I completely missed it.

I've drank beer in a coozie everytime I've been on that beach. Just don't bring glass.

The house we are renting is off of 13th Ave and Lowell. It looked like a fairly short walk to the beach and a few blocks from the bars/food at the south end. We are leaning towards doing dinner and drinks on the island on Thursday, and then hit downtown Savannah on Friday night. I appreciate all of the info -- we are looking forward to it.

Great location. I think Tybee Island Social Club is at 13th. About a block away.
Walking distance to Sunrise, Wet Willie's and lots of other stuff.
As an aside, a really fun thing to do is rent kayaks at AJ's and paddle to Little Tybee for the day. Nothing out there but the beach though so bring all refreshments.

I just moved from Savannah back to Atlanta. I have good friends who still live in Wilmington Island that heard that.
So rumor mill at this point.

From the looks of the comments on this thread, Huc a Poos appears to be the place to go on Thursday when everyone is getting into town. Beer, pizza, live music?

Good to know.
Does Uber run pretty regularly on the island?

There are guys that bike up and down the island carrying passengers in a rickshaw type thing for cheap, you sit on seats on the back of their pedal bike, pretty cool. I think it's only like $5 too. I've not used Uber there and can't imagine how much an uber driver would make on that island since it's so small. If you're staying near the pier somewhere, bars and fannies are walking distance. Huc a poos and is before you get to the beach on the left side about a mile in on the island it's kind of tucked away.

House is at 13th and Lowell, I believe. We will need an Uber to take us to downtown Savannah on Friday night, so I’m hoping we can get lucky out there.

Leaving in a couple of hours to head down there. Looks like we are going to Huc A Poos tonight. Thank you for all the info.
