The hiatus was a period between 1998 and 2013 during which the rate of global temperature growth slowed. This fact has always been a thorn in the side of climate change alarmists, as it became difficult to disprove the slowdown in warming.
The bolded part is alarming.
Science should be objective. Scientists should conduct their experiments, analyze the data, then draw conclusions from the analysix.
They should not be trying to disprove the data because it doesn't support their hypothesis.
The fact that 'scientists' feel the need to IGNORE relevant data because of its contrary indications should make them pariahs in the scientific community. People like you, though, continue to place your faith in them. Hell, you guys call FOX News "Faux News" and call into question their news reports for a whole lot less.
Folks like me understand that the climate changes constantly. Always has. Always will. We know this from ice core samples that give us data from 250,000 thousand years ago. We also know this from basic history.
The pyramids were not built in the desert. They were built in what was once a nice, lush oasis. Today, it's as dry and arid as any place on Earth.
Continental plates are shifting. The axis of the Earth may change slightly. The sun goes through phases. These things are completely out of our control and contribute a whole hell of a lot more to climate change than we could ever hope to.
Finally, here's the conspiracy theory. "Scientists' rely largely on government grants to fund their research. Governments see climate change as a way to secure more power, thus they make money available to "scientists" who can bolster the climate change claims. It's really as simple as that.
Governments reward those who help them secure more power.
Folks like you will ignore science that is funded by energy concerns, because you believe the science is tainted by the interests of those energy concerns. Fair enough.
On the other hand, you never acknowledge that government-funded research can be biased just as much. Face it, governments have A LOT riding on keeping the climate change scam going.

The bolded part is normal as long as the results aren't faked or hidden.
Science trying to constantly prove itself wrong is how you build solid scientific theory.
