You know that facts carry no weight when bashing the last hc.

quote:No dumbass, 5 defections from the depth charts during the transition including your starting right tackle, Theuma had ZERO to do with Les you dumbass. Lack of depth was due to O not paying enough attention to his players and building the relationships that he needed to do. When you have respect, people stay. He lost both offensive and defensive linemen last year that were undergrads who would have been sophomores and Juniors then. You have to recruit your own players all the time. Pay attention to your house first.
O inherited from Les Miles had a severe lack of depth in the defensive and offensive trenches.

Prior to 2013 this place said same stuff about Beckham and Landry.
I guess the want it now generation doesn't realize most HS WRs are going to have to be molded into the WRs seen at the combine, especially Chark who was considerably less polished than the 2 superstars.
Ehh I don't think people were saying that. People had problems with the hands, but outside of that, Beckham and Landry were above average everywhere else skill wise. I remember when they finally got it together after the bye week in 2012, Jarvis especially. Landry had 23 receptions for 216 yards and 1 TD the first 8 games. In November alone he had 29 receptions for 320 yards and 3 TDs. Beckham had 16 receptions for 286 yards and 2 TDs in the first 5 games. In the four games in November he had 14 receptions for 253 yards. Reason why that is special? His first 5 games were against 7 win Washington, 3 win Auburn, 4 win North Texas, 1 win Idaho, and FCS Towson.
Go watch Mett and the WRs in 2012, compared to Etling and the WRs in 2017, and see the difference in diversity of passing routes.
No, these WRs we have picked up since 2013 are definitely more athlete than WR. One guy teaches you something, the next year another guy, next year another guy, etc, all the while you're going through 3 coordinators, QBs that don't know the meaning of accuracy, and head coaches that would rather run an old school NFL offense with limited routes partly because you can't run different ones, and your QB can't throw them. .

What makes Quinn a more complete wr than chark and why is nobody talking about him this week?
Don't take this the wrong way, because I like Chark a lot
Quinn
Catches with his hands, runs good routes, blocks well, and is a strong MFer. That's on top of his good agility and decent speed. He is made to be a slot guy and will be great for any team he goes to.
Chark is an amazing athlete that has a ton of potential that hasn't been tapped yet. Like LE kinda said, this guy could be Mike Wallace (a former 2 star from New Orleans), who has had a pretty good NFL career, and is less than 2000 yards away from 10000.

I simply said he wasn't as good as a lot of people made him out to be. He went to smu and put up absurd numbers in a pass happy offense on a shitty team and even still wasn't the best wr at smu
In one year Quinn was 1st in receptions, tied for 4th in TDs, and was 11 in yards, in the country. He was higher in all 3 categorles compared to his counterpart.
I don't understand why people can't give him his props. Quinn is tough, blocks well, has great hands and agility, and runs good routes. Playing in that offense also allowed him to run various routes, something that he wouldn't have gotten at LSU. Plus he has passion for the game, and I love players like that. !

ran a 4.34, had a 40" vertical (both of those lead all WRs), did 16 reps of 225, and just did a 10" 9' broad jump
Drake Davis could be on the same path if he stays til his senior year. He might not run a 4.34, but I could see him doing a 4.40 flat at 6'4 215-220. If we are truly going to run a spread offense next year, his numbers will explode. Having a former NFL WR coach helping with teaching him is exactly what he needs.

Has drake davis even had a catch for us yet

Extremely frustrating how under used our talent is here.

Damn, he was old in high school, huh, 22, frick?? How old is he now 27, 28?? Lmao

quote:And his hands too, we'll just have to disagree to agree. Sure, he needs work with his gauging of the ball in the air, especially with punt returns, he's really poor in that area, but I have also seen him get hit in the hands with well thrown balls and just flat out drop them. So, he needs a lot of work on the "Juggs" machine also.
His main problem is adjusting to the ball.

So you are on the clock and need a WR to play all spots. Who do you draft if both on the board? Quinn or Chark? And your job depends on you making the right choice.
Which do you think will be drafted first this year?

Nobody is talking about Tuhema you dumb genius, and Tuhema wouldn't have played at LSU last season, in any event, even if he didn't transfer as he was too stupid to take care of his business and flunked a class. So he transferred to another school to play so he could enter the NFL draft this Spring. How is that coach O's fault, you dumb Einstein? Should O be taking his tests for him so he won't flunk his classes?
Moreover, you dumb genius, you can't lose what there was not enough of, to begin with. Read Ross Dellinger's article where he breaks down all the defensive lineman recruited during the Les Miles tenure as head coach and you will clearly see why there was a serious deficiency in defensive linemen. Meanwhile, go talk to Jeff Grimes and he will tell you why LSU was deficient in offensive linemen.
Dellinger's article was published as an addendum to the Aranda two-part interview in the Advocate the other day, as Aranda also confirms the problem was a severe lack of depth inherited from Miles in which coach O addressed in his very underrated recruiting class this year in which you geniuses ridiculed despite that very underrated class meeting our needs unlike Les Mile's recruiting classes that never did meet LSU's needs.
Man, I have seen some dumb responses since I have been on the Rant but this one has to be one of the dumbest ones. Give my condolences to your parents for me. Thank you and may Gawd bless.

Yeah, he is the one who scored on that long arse touchdown pass from Danny Etling in the Syracuse game, and he also caught several other passes thrown his way you genius.

You're right. Les Miles always played only his favorites regardless of talent. I'm glad we have coach O now who plays only the best players.

You seem dialed in, maybe you can answer this question. Why did Orgeron promise to hire the best coordinators and to leave them alone to do their jobs, then pay Matt Canada $3 million for one year while interfering with him doing his job? That’s a lot of money to pay someone who you’re not going to let do their job when the person you really want is already on staff and can be had for several times less money.

Beckham and Landry didn't come in NFL material in 2011, impressed very few people early, and got better with coaching as you mentioned 22 games into college careers.
Your support is greatly appreciated.
