You do realize “tactical gear” doesn’t always stop a bullet. And even if it does, the bullet still has enough force to break bone.

Yes, I do realize this. So you fire at him and hope to stun him or disable him in some way?

It does seem like shots at the dick may be the best option if it came down to it

Have any of you ever talked to someone who's been shot while wearing a vest? A buddy of mine took one to the abdomen. Put him on the ground for at least a minute, knocked the breath out of him, and cracked a couple of ribs. He was alive, but he was down for the count.

Go put a bullet proof vest on then let someone shoot you in the chest.

Uhh yeah...what else would you do? Your goal is to get him to stop shooting by whatever means necessary.

Also aiming for limbs or a headshot is a good way to get yourself killed, and anyone who has had LEO, Military, or self defense training would verify this.

No, you fire at him to neutralize the threat. There’s no “hope” to it. 3 or 4 shots center mass will drop him. No ones gonna keep running around with cracked ribs and possible internal bleeding.

Violence of action and heavy volumes of lead down range. But then that depends on the backdrop, if there’s lots of people you have to find another option. Someone earlier said fire extinguisher, that would be great but then you’re going have to shorten the distance between you and the one with the heavy firepower. Lots of variables come into play here. And like some others have said, just going on he offensive may be enough to stop the attack to an extent.
