Everyone knew about Vitter and hookers and he had already been re-elected to the U.S. Senate AFTER those revelations. How can he be blackmailed for conduct everyone already knows about?
That would be like trying to blackmail Kip Holden or Edwin Edwards for marital infidelity.

We don’t have to put up with antics like that guys. Really, is it that hard a standard to meet? Have a little self control, Vitter. C’mon man! Yes, contrary to your denials, blackmail is real. Plus, how many of you would be pissed if your wife ended up sleeping around? If infidelity was not a big deal, why don’t they preach its okay from the mountaintops?
Seriously, it’s a non-starter. Just keep your nose clean and you have all the tax dollars you’ll ever want to play with (and we know all of them abuse our hard earned tax dollars).
Besides, I’m smiling right now and y’all aren’t. And yes, it’s easy for the state party to not support a bad candidate (roadblocks, non-endorsement, etc.). And if the Repubs support that hothead Landry, guess I’ll have to cross party lines one more time.
