The FBI and local law enforcement failed royally at their jobs. This would have never happened had anyone done their due diligence. The laws in place would have prevented it from happening, but alas, we have an FBI not taking credit, a terrible sheriff that should resign yet is grandstanding, all the while a media blitz on gun control.

If the controls we have in place now weren't followed, what in the hell are more controls going to do?

Best question I've seen to date on this topic. Interested to see how the regressives respond.

I’m sad for all involved and nothing about it has been enjoyable but it’s been amazing to watch the most aggressive and exploitative gun control push I’ve ever seen over the last 10 days fall apart in 24 hours.

Bill Gates and Oprah probably want their money back.

The media pushed narrative is dead as a door nail.

Ironically, the obvious truth now as illuminated by this shooting is that we actually need guns because LEO will not protect us.

The facts have turned 180 against the narrative push.

Bump for any Democrat/Progressive. Discourse would do well here, as I'm logically having a tough time understanding what new laws will accomplish when what we have already would have been sufficient.

Not gonna happen.

Yesterday I simply asked what specific changes they would make to current laws and got crickets chirping.

They won’t because all they can say is “ban all scary looking guns”!

That's it though, isn't it? They claim to be more "intelligent", yet run from actual discussion. They don't want compromise or solutions, they want control. They're a dangerous bunch.

They won't. They've steadfastly ignored, disputed, or demagogued any common sense observation and suggestion since the mass murder. They are morally, ideologically, and philosophically bankrupt on this and many other subjects.

Bump for Rex since he's online. Surely some Democrat can show me what true intellect, reason, and logic looks like.

They won't answer your question, but they will in fact tell you the NRA has blood on it's hands somehow.

We DON'T have "controls in place". We have law enforcement people reacting, sometimes capably, sometimes not, to situations because of LACK of control.

Australia instituted the one control that made a difference: a ban.

Contrary to popular belief I don't spend every waking second monitoring this board.
