I mean backing up from the "assault rifle" quicksand for a bit I don't even know what "Trump considering" means here. This would require a law, and I doubt there's much appetite for this in the House.

I'm not too concerned. The bump stock thing probably will happen, but this won't.

It has always been my worry about him. He is easily influenced by the issue of the day and by whomever gets in his ear...at least on issues that he hasn't held long standing positions on.

I can tell you that wavering on the 2nd Amendment is a sure recipe for his defeat for reelection. Most pundits think that the economy sunk GHW Bush's reelection, but it was his weakness on guns.

I dunno - one of the things I could warm up to would be raising the age limit for a lot of adult oriented things that need licensing.

Since the schools are pumping out a never ending enema of whimpering pajama boys, perhaps we should set an age limit of 26 (like for staying on daddy's insurance) for important things like drivers license, firearms purchase, voting, spouting off on TV, etc.

Waivers would be granted for service men and veterans or others who pass some sort of 'I am qualified to be considered an adult" set of tests.
