I'm a progresssive and I can tell you that the number of us who actually believe the 2nd amendment should be repealed is minuscule.
Common wish list:
Enact gun registration
Enact strict background checks
Enact law to allow for LE to temporarily suspend gun ownership, pending hearings, if they come across someone who appears psychologically disturbed (like FL kid)
Eliminate gun show loophole which, currently, allows for gun running from gun shows straight into places like Chicago and DC.
Restrict private, unlicensed sales of guns.
Outlaw semi-automatic weapons which can be accessorized to become weapons of war.
Outlaw bumper stocks, high capacity magazines/clips
I know the argument is that even with all of this in place, bad people will still get guns. And for some people that may be true but, by and large, most people who are looking to commit mass murder do not have the means and stealth to bypass all of these proposals to obtain a weapon. Meanwhile, good, solid gun buyers, like many on this board, will have no issue obtaining weapons for self-defense or hunting.

I think you are wrong. I have enjoyed weed for years. Do you have any idea how easy it is for me to get weed in any place in this country?
And, if I wanted H or coke or meth.......do you know how easy it would be?
And, I promise....I don't fit in "that world" and have a professional appearance, etc.
Dude, they get drugs and cell phones into PRISONS! The entire concept is a balm or salve put on the pearl clutcher's "feels" so they can BELIEVE they are safer and that they "did something"

Your list is the same laundry list of useless ideas that come from a group of people who are completely ignorant of firearms, how they operate, and what laws are already in place.

myth. steven crowder already debunked this. gun show/no gun show, it is illegal to sell a firearm without a background check at established businesses and venues.
