Smothering gun control just means that the crazy people out there that are intent on killing people will just move to other means.
Besides, more gun control does nothing for the billions of guns already out there. Nobody is going to go door to door, searching for guns.

No I doubt they would change their means. It just means they will buy a firearm off the street (as many do now). If the police cant keep drugs off the street how can anyone expect them to keep guns off?
The main effect will be the removal of firearms from people who are law abiding and have no desire to shoot up a school or office...
The only answer is to put these crazy bastards in a secure mental facility. It will be expensive but that is the only way to make sure they dont commit these acts...
