Guess you don't watch the news where people are taking vehicles and running people over in large crowds.
You can take away guns or limit them all you want but people today are going to find ways to commit multiple homicides whether you like it or not. It is evil.

But, seriously, he could have killed multiple people with a knife, truck, bomb, etc.
Swap out "club" for any of the above and you can see the point.
